How to Open a Fixed Deposit Account

Visit any of the branches of the bank or visit the website of the bank. Ask to see the schedule officer in charge of opening of fixed deposit accounts. Fill the fixed deposit account opening form. This can also be done online. Submit the following documents (Proof of identity like driver’s license, international passport, National Identification Number Slip, voter’s card, 2 passport photographs, utility bill like electricity bill, water bill, waste collection bill, tenement rate bill and phone bill, proof of change of name if you just changed your name, work permit or immigration residency paper if you are an immigrant in Nigeria and proof of income (optional). Pay in your deposit to the bank after completion of the fixed deposit account opening form. Wait till the maturity of your fixed deposit investment to receive your principal and the interest.
