Dangote Group has vehemently denied recent reports suggesting a reduction in the price of its cement products. Contrary to the widely circulated claim that Dangote Cement had slashed its prices from N5500 to N2700 per bag, the company has stated that such information is entirely false and misleading.
The news of the alleged price reduction sent shockwaves through the construction and real estate industries in Nigeria, with many anticipating a significant economic impact if it were true. Social media platforms were flooded with discussions and speculations about the sudden drop in cement prices.
However, the Dangote Group, through its spokesperson, issued a press release today, categorically refuting these reports. The statement emphasized that Dangote Cement has not made any such price adjustments and that the company remains committed to providing quality cement products at competitive prices.
“We want to make it absolutely clear that the reports of a price reduction from N5500 to N2700 per bag are entirely false. Dangote Cement has not altered its pricing structure, and we continue to operate in line with established market rates,” the spokesperson stated.
